We take the time to get to know you and go over any concerns you might have. When you first walk into our practice, we’ll ask that you fill out a medical history form. This is to help us become more familiar with you, your history and anything we may need to consider when creating you a treatment plan. Our dentists will review this information and personally discuss your dental concerns when performing a comprehensive oral examination.

Digital x-rays may be taken to evaluate your needs completely. Please allow 30 minutes for this visit. We take the time to get to know our patients to ensure we are providing the very best treatment and advice.

Our dental care planning is individual and personal to meet your personal dental needs. Clear communication is essential to delivering a high standard of patient care, which is why we will discuss all of your needs in an upfront manner. Ensuring you have the knowledge you need to make the best decision for your oral health. Our job is to guide you to make the best possible decisions, but at Northmead dental, you are in control.

Do you hate the dentist, or suffer from dental anxiety? At Northmead Dental we understand that many people have had poor experiences in the past and may now feel anxious about the prospect of visiting a dentist. We’re here to help you through this to ensure you don’t remain in pain, due to fear of treatment. If needed, we may suggest you see your GP to prescribe medication to help you relax during your dental visit. However, we find many anxious patients are relaxed by our friendly team and welcoming environment.

We accept most major dental insurance plans, Medicare and work with the Medicare Teen Health Plan. We have a HICAPS machine for your convenience, which allows you to swipe your health insurance card to process your health fund claims on the spot. We also happily accept patients without health insurance.

Depending on your health fund and treatment, there is likely to be an additional payment required on top of your health fund claim. If you are concerned about the potential cost of treatment, please let us know straight away, so we can discuss options with you.
